Becoming a Friend of Glen Gray
Camp
Glen Gray is a unique private - public
partnership. In 2002, Bergen County purchased the camp
from the Boy Scouts preserving this valuable wilderness from
development. The camp became a member of the extensive Bergen
County parks system.
However, the challenge of running the camp on a day to day basis was taken over by the Friends of Glen Gray, a non-profit group. The Friends provide volunteer camp masters that run the camp. They also pay for a camp administrator and caretaker. Friends volunteers put in hundreds of work hours each year to maintain the camp. This effort is funded entirely from camper fees and donations.
Since fees cover only about half of Glen Gray's costs, your donations are very welcome. If you would like to help support the camp financially, or can volunteer your time, please contact us using the "contact us" feature on this website.
